Farming Project

​

The farming project began in 2006, with the purpose of supporting the orphanage in Gitega by selling milk. The project was then extended to Buringa, and later in Cibitoke where we also raise livestock to support our kids there. Progress is currently slow, as it requires a lot of money, energy, and knowledge in this field. Some of the current needs include a new cowshed for the cows, pure water, staff training.

We have also initiated a farming project to help support the orphanage in Gitega and Cibitoke. We have 10 acres of land on which we grow rice, cassava, potatoes, vegetables and other more. A big portion of the land needs irrigation. With the help of  Villages of Life Australia, we have also initiated  a Fish Farm Project in Cibitoke. This  project is making a positive impact in the life of kids and community in Cibitoke. We thank the Lord.
